Idle Moments Grant Green Record

Jazz Record. ‘Idle Moments’ by jazz guitarist Grant Green was originally released in 1963. The album’s title track and centrepiece is a beautifully hushed and hurried snowfall of notes. The blend of guitar, piano, vibraphone, drums and bass simply make you forget time exists. Elsewhere the uptempo ‘Jean De Fleur’, the cool, sophisticated ‘Django’ and the piano led ‘Nomad’ make this an essential LP for hard bop fans.
