Retail Trading Space

Our ambition is to create hybrid store environments, to provide an on-brand offering to our customers and simultaneously showcase aligned Artists and Traders to our existing customer base.

All opportunities are by application,  Please don't be disheartened if you are not selected, we get oversubscribed and we the criteria we use to select our partners will include:

  • How well we believe your products will be received by our customer base (we want you to be a success)
  • Whether there is any crossover with current products, Traders or planned product pipeline
  • Attitude (we don't work with negative Nancys - no offence to any Nancys)
  • Suitability of the products for a high-street environment
  • Legality of products (ie licensing, fake products, etc)

Current opportunities:

Preston Store:

 

Our Preston Store is in a prime location Shopping Centre and we are placed next door to Kenji, opposite H&M and HMV and near The Entertainer.  It is a sizeable store, with sizeable overheads, but the footfall is good and our store has enjoyed a successful and profitable period since opening.

Our on-site team are lovely and dedicated, they are helpful and the store is manned with a minimum of two-people at all times and is open 7 days per week.

Having successfully implemented the store into the centre and getting things 'almost' as we want them to be, we have taken the decision to make the store our first to hire out space to other Artists / Traders.  We already have two Artists in our store, on a stock-purchased basis - but we are happy with our current Artists and are not looking to expand on out stock-purchased scheme.

Instead, we are creating a maximum of five locations in the store, for Artists / Traders to rent space.

Terms:

Rent to be paid weekly in advance (paid Friday) week runs Sunday to Saturday (if the rent isn't paid on the Friday, the stock will be removed from the shelves on Sunday morning and be boxed up ready for collection).

No notice to be given from Artist / Trader to cease trading (we are providing maximum flexibility).

We cannot be held responsible for theft, but we are protective of our store and we do not tolerate shoplifters.  The Centre also has dedicated security staff and we benefit from being indoors.  Unfortunately, the stock is left at your own risk - but we would treat your stock as we would our own.

Sales reports for the week Sunday to Saturday, would be sent to you on a Sunday and be paid to you on a Monday.  All sales are subject to a 10% sales handling fee, which would be withheld from your payment - this helps to contribute towards the operating costs.

Fixtures can be provided by Kawaii Killmonster without charge.  We have shelves, hooks, T-Shirt rails (free standing and wall-mounted), magazine racks, etc.  If we don't have it, we can likely get it.

We aim to support and showcase your brand and as part of the package, we promise to insert your branding into runners (if using our shelves), make one weekly social media collaborative post, permit one piece of wall art (reasonably sized) to go up on our eclectic-decorative walls), include your brand on a store directory framed print, host your business cards at our counter and permit leaflets / posters for any events or promotions you wish to run.  These can include pointing customers to your website, it doesn't have to be store-driven.

Travelling to Preston may not be viable for you.  If it isn't, you are more than welcome to post, drop-off or pass stock to us at events and our team are more than willing to stock your space.

If your stock has barcodes or stock codes that you want to use for inventory purposes, we can put these onto our till system.  The standard process would see our team operate based on the prices on your items, which would be set up as individual products on our system (i.e Trader A £1, Trader A £2 etc).  If you wish for the inventory to be displayed on the sales reports, you'll need to provide us a spreadsheet list of stock codes or barcodes with prices (we can provide a template).  If you do choose this option, it is also possible that we could import your products to our website to provide an additional sales channel (no additional fees).

Your success is our success and we will work hard to ensure that you're making a profit.  If things aren't working out as you had planned, we don't want to keep anybody trapped in a contract - so you can simply tell us, or stop paying (and we don't fall out).  Similarily, if it isn't working for us or our customers, we would have the conversation with you.  Your stock and earnings remain safe.

Throughout your time with us, you will be entitled to a 20% discount in-store and online (this matches our staff discount).

Prices:

Single Wall Space £75 per week

* fully adjustable with shelves, hooks, clothes rails etc

Double Wall Space £140 per week

* it’s two of the above 

Central Grid Wall Unit (double-sided) £50 per week

Shelf Stand £60 per week 


Large Carousel Unit £150 per week
